Client Agreement Policy

Scope of Practice

I understand that Courtney Rixon at Keep Your Balance is not a licensed physician, psychologist or medical practitioner of any kind and that Kinesiology should not be considered a replacement for the advice and/or services, of a psychiatrist, psychologist, psychotherapist, doctor or medical practitioner of any kind.

 

Kinesiology

I understand the scope and limitations of Kinesiology and muscle monitoring.

I give permission to be muscle tested and to be assessed with muscle monitoring.

I acknowledge that muscle testing is being used for the sole purpose of balancing energy and not for diagnosis of medical diseases. If you have a serious illness or injury, Courtney advises you to consult your doctor prior to your appointment.

I understand I need to consult with the medical profession for medical issues.

I understand Kinesiology requires me to actively participate in my own healing and I am willing to be responsible for my own health.

 

Privacy & Confidentiality

The personal and health information you provide is collected for the primary purpose of providing quality care.

Keep your Balance Is committed to protecting your privacy and information collected will only be disclosed when necessary.

I consent that Keep Your Balance may release information to a specific individual or health care professional if it has been determined that I, as a client, am in imminent danger to myself or others; or need further medical/healthcare support. 

I understand that, at any time, Keep Your Balance may discuss aspects of my case with other colleagues keeping my full name and identity completely confidential unless I give permission otherwise.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

We appreciate your courtesy when making appointments.

Cancellation/Reschedule – You may cancel or reschedule your session up to *24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment without penalty. 

Short Notice Cancellation / No Show – We require a non-refundable deposit of $50 to secure your Initial appointment. Please note that if a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours’ notice, your deposit will not be transferable. All cancellations within the 24-hour period and no-show appointments will incur a fee of 100% of the cost of the booking. 

Late Show – Arriving late for your scheduled appointment will result in a shorter session.  The practitioner is not obligated to make up this time due to scheduling constraints.

It is important to advise we cannot keep your appointment for longer than 20 minutes. In these late show conditions your appointment will be cancelled and the short notice cancellation / no show fee will apply.

 

Booking Confirmation

As a courtesy you will receive an email confirmation of your scheduled appointment 24 hours prior which also gives you the option to cancel or reschedule if you need.  

 

Payment Terms

We require a non-refundable deposit of $50 to secure your Initial appointment. The remainder of the Initial or Package fee is required at the end of the Initial session. Eftpos (Mastercard and Visa) accepted.

Cancellation payments – An Invoice will be emailed within 1-2 business days of cancellation notification including full banking details for ease of payment. Payment is required within 7 days of receipt of invoice.
