Becoming Whole – ‘You’ Protocol

FOR THOSE WHO ARE STUCK, STRESSED AND STRUGGLING

SUMMARY

This protocol is created for anyone who believes they are constantly in survival mode, is tired of just getting by, feels like they aren’t ‘enough’, and wants to start gaining autonomy over their health and life.

“When you’re stressed and struggling, your only goal is to get well and when you’re well, your goals are limitless”, so spare some time for this protocol, commit to yourself and ultimately see your true potential.

About This Protocol

In order for us to live a healthy and meaningful life, we have to feel and be connected. Connected to ourselves, connected to others and connected to the world around us. When we are connected, we feel safe and when we feel safe, we have the opportunity to heal, grow and live a life that is fulfilling and meaningful to us.

What are the barriers to connection?

What stops us from being connected is emotional and childhood trauma, heady injury (physical trauma), poor diet and environmental toxins. If these stressors are not dealt with, they can impact our nervous system and homeostasis. It can also shape the way we view ourselves and the world.

What impacts our nervous system?

When our nervous system is dysregulated, the world ‘feels’ more threatening. To protect ourselves and to feel a sense of ‘safety’, we put up our guard, suppress our emotions, ignore our own needs, or hide parts of ourselves from others and the world. What we don’t realise though, is what’s keeping us ‘safe’ temporarily, perhaps is contrubuting to our pain and suffering over the long term.

What is the purpose of this protocol?

This protocol is designed to help you identify and work through any unresolved trauma – whether that is conscious or not, and to regulate your nervous system, allowing you to connect back to your most authentic self. It’s when we are connected to ourselves that we can trust our instincts, meet our own needs, have the capacity to learn, love, dream and create a life that we desire and ultimately deserve.
Connection also means regulation. When the nervous system is regulated and in balance, the body has the opportunity to return to its natural state of homeostasis — its optimal state of being. To support and maintain this, we’ll look at what patterns of self-sabotage may be holding you back and identify your individual needs to help you move forward with clarity and ease.
Not only will you have a better sense of self and a sense of relief throughout this protocol, but you will also have the roadmap, tools and strategies to continue to support yourself outside of it.

The Three-Phase Approach Breakdown:

Phase 1 – Regulating The Nervous System

“The quality of your life depends on the state of your nervous system”

IDENTIFY THE STRESS – The autonomic nervous system controls and regulates every other system in your body. It is important we identify all underlying physical, emotional, or bio-chemical stressors which maybe dysregulating your nervous system.

SUPPORT THE NERVOUS SYSTEM – Once these ‘stressors’ are identified, we’ll use a variety of techniques to support your nervous system whilst using a handful of coaching tools to challenge your thoughts, feelings, and interpretations around the ‘stressor’ or problem. It’s crucial we support both your mind and body to bring you into alignment and balance.

Phase 2 - Enhancing Your Body's Natural Balance and Resilience

“Your body has a natural ability to protect and restore itself”

ENCOURAGE BALANCE (HOMEOSTASIS) – Once your nervous system learns to regulate itself, your body has the opportunity to come back to balance (homeostasis). To encourage and support this process, we will use a variety of disciplines and methods to strengthen the immune, digestive, hormonal and other biological systems.

LEARN TO EMOTIONALLY REGULATEOur emotions, if not processed or expressed in a healthy way, will be suppressed. Suppressed emotion leads to suppression of the immune system and the disconnection of self. It’s crucial we learn to emotionally regulate and express ourselves in a healthy way in order to stay connected, feel and live well.

Phase 3 - Becoming Whole

“You were born into this world enough”

LET GO OF CONDITIONINGPart of becoming ‘whole’ is knowing what truly matters to you, and who you are outside of other’s perceptions. This includes the roles you play, coping mechanisms and conditioned behaviours. It’s when we begin to recognize who we are, that we can start trusting our instincts and meeting our own needs. This involves setting boundaries, asking for help and learning to be accepting and compassionate with ourselves.

BECOMING WHOLE – Recognising who you are and valuing your worth leads to prioritising yourself. Each time you choose yourself, you move closer to feeling well and whole. When you are whole, anything becomes possible.
